12 Weeks





Size of baby: lime

Total Weight Gain: down 2 pounds (much to the Dr.'s dislike. Don't look at me, blame nausea) 

New symptoms this week: Nasuea has finally felt but now my pre-pregnancy jeans no longer fit. Bummer.

Sleep: Still tossing and turning. Need to get a new body pillow to help the back. 

What I'm Eating: Salad, pizza, red sauce (no heartburn yet!)

What I'm Avoiding: BBQ sauce and fish

Cravings: nothing special.

Special pregnancy moments: Met the new OB and LOVE her. Also got to hear Baby's heartbeat on the doppler.

11 Weeks




Size of baby: fig

Total Weight Gain: still don't know yet. 

New symptoms this week: Regular pants are starting to be too tight and uncomfortable. 

Sleep: very sleepy. Tossing and turning a lot of the night. Exhausted. 

What I'm Eating: Propel water, chips, salad.

What I'm Avoiding: BBQ sauce and fish

Cravings: nothing special.

Special pregnancy moments: Ordered more maternity pants. 

10 Weeks



Size of baby: kumquat

Total Weight Gain: don't know yet. 

New symptoms this week: nothing new. Just nauseous and so very tired.

Sleep: very sleepy. I try to go to bed right after putting big sister to bed. Early to bed for this mama.  

What I'm Eating: Cinnamon and sugar poptarts, Propel water

What I'm Avoiding: BBQ sauce and fish

Cravings: nothing special.

Special pregnancy moments: Belly is starting to pop. Had first ultrasound and got to see you moving all over the place in my belly. Heart beat strong at 160 bpm.

9 Weeks




Size of baby: green grape

Total Weight Gain: first weigh in at the dr’s office on Monday. Not sure about gain yet.

New symptoms this week: nothing new. Just nauseous and so very tired.

Sleep: very sleepy. I try to go to bed right after putting big sister to bed. Early to bed for this mama.  

What I'm Eating: 

What I'm Avoiding: BBQ sauce and fish

Cravings: Grandma Keeney’s pasta salad

Special pregnancy moments: First pre-natal appointment. Daddy got me a new journal for this pregnancy that matches Aubrey’s journal. I haven’t written in it yet. I am planning on it after Monday’s ultrasound.

8 Weeks




Size of baby: kidney bean

Total Weight Gain: ?? conceded to a pair of maternity pants this week

New symptoms this week: so bloated and craving maternity jeans.

Sleep: very sleepy and hard to get comfortable. Lots of toss and turning happening with little sleep. Especially when big sister is breaking in a new tooth.  


What I'm Eating: TruMoo Chocolate Milk, raspberries

What I'm Avoiding: BBQ sauce, talking about food, meat, and bodily functions

Cravings: nothing. Just let the nausea go away.  

Special pregnancy moments: Maternity clothes bin has come down from the garage and into the house. First pair of maternity pants have been worn and the belly bump/gut has relaxed and had room to party.

7 Weeks




Size of baby: blueberry

Total Weight Gain: ?? but feel bloated and pants are tight. 

New symptoms this week: nausea! No barf yet though so that is a plus. 

Sleep: very sleepy and in bed before 9:00 pm every night, or as soon as Aubrey allows 

What I'm Eating: TruMoo Chocolate Milk, fried chicken

What I'm Avoiding: BBQ sauce

Cravings: nothing. Just let the nausea go away.  

Special pregnancy moments: Told my direct supervisor I am pregnant, hoping to get sympathy for my frequent appointments and up coming appointments. Daddy started talking about cleaning out the 3rd junk room to make it a new baby nursery. 

6 Weeks




Size of baby: lentil bean

Total Weight Gain: 0

New symptoms this week: very tired, sudden hot flashes and waves of nausea

Sleep: very sleepy and in bed before 9:00 pm every night, or as soon as Aubrey allows 

What I'm Eating: cutie oranges, potato chips and cream cheese

Cravings: cutie oranges, potato chips and cream cheese

Special pregnancy moments: Since I am getting blood work frequently I have been excited and waiting in anticipation for each results letter to be posted so I can see how fast baby bear is growing.
